Winthrop Knox

Mr. Knox (Trip) has been responsible for providing consulting services to the aquatic industry since 1970, specializing in creative water feature designs. Trip has personally been involved in the design and construction of more than 3000 pool/water-related facilities for municipalities, colleges, schools, waterparks, recreational parks, aquatic centers, health centers, deluxe hotels, resorts, and other unique facilities.

Trip’s diverse capabilities have awarded him honors for designing the Luge Run and the Bobsled Run for the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid, New York, his many unique fountain and pool designs, and his creativity in maintaining the natural environment for Splish Splash Waterpark on Long Island, New York in 1993. He developed the Wave Channel, the Action and Wave River, the Erupting Volcano Ride, Underwater Waterslide, Twin Entry Waterslides and Spray Decks for Children’s Areas, as well as Central Filtration Plants, Vertical Mounted Horizontal Pumps, and much more, which are now used by all designers in the industry. Trip holds the copyright for Aqua Draw®, a computer software program used by architects and engineers for designing competitive swimming pools. He also holds two patents for innovative concrete designs. For his unique gutter designs and flow distribution systems for the competitive pool at Wheaton College in Norton, Massachusetts, Trip was awarded Best Competitive Facility in 1991. He is noted for his unique and creative master planning ability and “get-it-done” attitude.

Trip received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Bryant University in 1970. He is a certified expert with the National Spa and Pool Institute and is a veteran submariner of the United States Navy.

 

Michael J. D’Amato

Michael has 40 years of experience in the building industry. He graduated from the college of Architecture at Clemson University with a Master’s Degree in City and Regional Planning. Starting his career as a planner in Greenville, South Carolina Michael was instrumental in developing land use regulations to stimulate economic investment and redevelopment in the growing city. Michael moved to the private sector joining JE Sirrine Engineers where he was involved in the development of several projects in the Pulp and Paper and Technology industries. He returned home, to the state of Connecticut in 1981, joining the engineering and architecture firm of C.E Maguire. In 1983 he entered the construction industry with W.E. O’Neil Construction where he worked on the construction of the state’s tallest building, City Place, in downtown Hartford, CT. He rose to President of W.E. O’Neil of Connecticut and oversaw numerous large-scale projects including Phoenix Mutual Corporate Headquarters, and Stamford Harbour Park. He left O’Neil to serve as President of CR Klewin, managing the construction of later phases of the Foxwoods Resort Casino projects including the Grand Pequot Tower. He managed the national expansion of CR Klewin, growing gross revenue to more than $200,000,000, annually. In 2005, Michael started his own business focusing on overseeing casino design and development. His company has managed such projects as the Downstream Casino in Oklahoma, Resorts World Bimini Bay, Bahamas and the Resorts World Casino, New York City.

 

Gary A. Carter, Sr.

President and Founding Owner of Three Winds Development, LLC.

Gary serves as Chairman of the Mashantucket Pequot Elders Council. Mr. Carter served as the Secretary of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Council from January 1, 1991 to December 30th of 1999. During his tenure on Tribal Council, Mr. Carter served as Chairman of the Health and Human Services Committee, Chairman of the Parks and Recreation Committee, Chairman of the Administrative Support Committee, as well as on the board for Foxwoods Development Company. Mr. Carter also served on the Tribal Advisory Board and as the Director of Human Resources for Mashantucket High Stakes Bingo, and later Foxwoods Resort Casino.

 

Stewart E. Sebastian

Vice President and Founding Owner of Three Winds Development, LLC.

Through many years of service with the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation, including the position of Operations Manager at MPTN Sand & Gravel Operation, Stew has acquired a vast knowledge of excavation and construction. He has also enjoyed much success as Founding Owner of Atlantic Industries, Inc., a rock crushing enterprise established in the 1990’s.

 

Joseph J. Carter, III

Partner in Three Winds Development, LLC.

For 25 years, Joseph served a managerial role at Foxwoods Resort Casino. From Director of Food & Beverage to Director of Public Relations to Chairman of Regulatory Affairs, he has a wide range of expertise throughout the organization. He has recently retired from Foxwoods’ Department of Player Development.

 

Jaleel Lewis

Senior Vice President, Equity Capital Partners LLC.

Jaleel Lewis has more than 15 years of leadership experience in the area of international business, asset acquisition, and project management for top tier companies. An accomplished corporate strategist, his vision and expertise in business performance have driven notable enterprise growth in the real estate development, and asset acquisition sector. His achievements have been noted in the world arena such as United States Agency for International Development (USAID), and in the US Telecomm Industry.

Offering a rare blend of creative and operational strengths Jaleel has led exciting company growth and is recognized for his success in acquiring investments, and proper execution through project completion and generating of profits. His strategic success in international business is reflected in his work as Project Manager for Asea Brown Boveri (ABB) in Israel on a 45 kilometer water transmission pipe line a 40 million dollar project, also on the construction of a Zinc and Magnesium extraction plant and factory in the Dead Sea Israel a $1 Billion dollar project. As Project Manager for Volmar construction Jaleel successfully structured project finance and completed through his executive leadership $60 million dollars in projects. As a consultant for builders group a Wall Street based firm Jaleel led and completed several projects in the Telecommunication sector of New York (Silicon Alley), valued at over $25 million dollars. As Senior Vice President of Equity Financial Services Inc. a 15 year old Wall street based firm Jaleel has led and successfully completed over $500 million dollars in asset acquisitions for the company world wide, Jaleel has structured finance and has managed assets for the company in the areas of Natural Resources such as Timber, Oil and Gas, In the area of Real Estate development purchasing and selling.

Jaleel’s exceptional track record of business execution and improvement is based on his philosophy of total enterprise engagement in change. He is known for his ability to quickly identify and diagnose complex growth impediments towards accomplishing the desired final goal of a company’s objectives, working in the past and present with companies to refine their organizational structure, their project focus, target market, and proper execution to accomplish project close-out.

Jaleel received his educational studies at Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA. He has certifications in AutoCAD, Safety Engineering, Jaleel has also studied abroad and speaks fluent Hebrew, and Arabic and is currently learning Spanish.
